순천향대학교(Soonchunhyang University) 1978년도에 개교한 학교입니다
When the founder, Dr. Seok-jo Seo, founded the school, he asked for advice from former Prime Minister Kim Jong-pil , who had been his personal doctor , and said, "A doctor is a person who cures and helps people according to the will of heaven, and does not control human life. Starting with the background of nurturing medical students who follow the will of Heaven and act as doctors with a humble heart, Confucius said, "Those who obey Heaven will live, and those who disobey Heaven will perish."[1] It was named after Suncheon (順天) and the idea of calling it Suncheon-hyang by using the character for the village (鄕), a village where such people gather.[2] You may be mistaken because of the name, but according to its name, Jeollanam-do It has nothing to do with Suncheon City .[3] It was later promoted to a comprehensive university, and currently has over 50 majors and over 10,000 current and international students. The educational philosophy is ‘truth, service, and practice.’
